Building a base tan safely and effectively can be a slow and delicate process, but when done properly and with patience, the result is always rewarding. While you can't achieve a deep, dark tan overnight, there are ways you can maximize your skins' tanning ability both from the outside, and from the inside:

Prepare Your Skin...To achieve and maintain a great tan and assure that your skin retains its' moisture levels, use an appropriate cleanser...not bar soap. Your skin has a protective covering referred to as the acid mantle. It provides a limited barrier of protection from bacteria and also against moisture loss. Bar soaps are alkaline based and strip away that protective barrier resulting in a loss of moisture.

Use our Cool Mint Cleansing Scrub, formulated to promote, not rob, your skins' moisture. Our cleansers help condition the face and hard-to-tan areas like legs. They contain natural enzymes originally created to treat acne-prone skin, yet they are safe and effective for all skin types...even the most sensitive. Micro-sized granules exfoliate dead, lifeless skin, important in maintaining even skin tone. Botanical extracts nourish the skin leaving it soft and silky.

Accelerate And Moisturize...Tanned skin requires special care. The tanning process, whether indoors or in the sun, can be very drying to the skin. Excessive exposures can result in premature aging and wrinkling of the skin. Preparing the skin before and replenishing the skins' cells after tanning exposures is of the utmost importance. We have been able to formulate our "Skin Sense" products using many of nature's finest ingredients known to heal, soften, nourish and replenish the skins' cells. We work closely with our chemist to produce products of the highest quality. With the exception of necessary preservatives, only natural ingredients known beneficial to the skin are used. Natural ingredients have the ability to be absorbed in the skin more easily and effectively, your tan is less likely to fade quickly. All of our products, tanning lotions, moisturizers, and even our cleansers, are formulated in a base of "True" liquid Aloe Vera, not a gel or inferior grade. Aloe Vera is known for its hydrating, softening and soothing properties and has the ability to penetrate human skin almost four times faster than water. Aloe is also known to produce an anti-aging effect on the skin and stimulate cell renewal.

TanStuff was created because tanned skin requires special care. Your skin will feel so soft and supple you will want to use it as a moisturizer, after tanning too. Formulated with 20% tyrosine and other essential amino acids, TanStuff is also one of the most powerful tanning products on the market today. The added amino acids act as catalysts to increase the skins' ability to absorb the tyrosine. While TanStuff 20 has been designed for indoor tanning use, Sesame Oil, a natural sunscreen, has been added to help minimize redness. Note: Tyrosine is a natural amino acid derived from proteins. To mask these unpleasant odors, harsh, synthetic fragrances are required. These products may feel good initially, but dry out the lips in the long run.
