F.A.Q. : Is Indoor Tanning The Same As The Sun?

Whether tanning indoors or in the sun, ultraviolet (uv) light is utilized to activate the skins' melanin and, ultimately, produce color change. The source of the uv light may be different but the result is the same, except that with indoor tanning you have a better chance of getting the exact effect you want. Outdoor tanning occurs in an uncontrolled environment.
